Amplify Providence 2012 was a great success!! Liquid 5th was very proud to be a part of the festival this year and is looking forward to future Amplify events!

We are proud to welcome editing engineer Andrew Newcomb to the Liquid 5th team! Show him some love, make him feel at home.

Andrew started playing piano at the age of 8 and was immediately enthralled with the world of music.  After becoming a master of piano, guitar, bass and drums, he started playing in professional orchestra pits at the age of 16.  He is a member of the local musician’s union and continues to do work around the area playing guitar for pits.  Around this time his interest in recording and production was also blooming, spending his weekends in the basement making music with friends.  Vocally, he began formal training early at the age of 12.  While in high school, Andrew sang with the honors, district, and regional choirs, which lead to opportunities to sing in places like Disney World and a two week tour in China. Andrew attends Muhlenberg College in Allentown PA, where his experience with singing in high school encouraged him to audition for Muhlenberg’s oldest a cappella group, the Muhlenberg Dynamics, his freshmen year.  After one year in the group, he became musical director as a sophomore and continues to hold this position into his senior year.  He has done great things with the group and has also become an accomplished arranger.  During his four years of school he has also been the Baker Scholar of Music.  Around campus Andrew plays with the jazz improvisation ensembles and sings with the renaissance music group.  He spends his whole day living and breathing music, and is thrilled to be a part of the L5 team, lending his skill to quality production.
